The RAISE Observatory provides an interactive overview of Europe’s AI in Science ecosystem. It brings together data from publications, projects, organisations, research infrastructures, XXXXXX, and other trusted sources to help researchers, policymakers, research infrastructures, funders, and innovators better understand the rapidly evolving landscape.
How Does It Work?
The Observatory brings together information from the OpenAIRE Graph and other trusted sources, then transforms it into an interactive view of AI activity across European research.
Users can explore how AI is applied in different scientific domains, discover the tools supporting the research process, and identify the organisations, data sources and infrastructures contributing to the wider ecosystem.
Filters make it possible to move from a broad European overview to a specific scientific field, technology, country, organisation or resource.
Methodology
The analysis is powered by an inference system developed by OPIX. It examines scientific content to identify which AI technologies are being used, the research purposes they support and how mature their adoption has become.
The detected signals are connected with scientific domains, countries, organisations and relevant research resources. They are then aggregated into indicators that reveal patterns of adoption, highlight emerging practices and show where AI is becoming an established part of scientific work.
