AISWG Workshop (open for AIS26 attendees): Shaping the RAISE SRIA: Open Science and Trustworthy AI for European Research

‘Shaping the RAISE SRIA: Open Science and Trustworthy AI for European Research’ is an expert workshop organised within the (opens in a new window)SCIANCE project, building on the work of the Open Science and Trustworthy AI Working Group, led by (opens in a new window)OpenAIRE. The Working Group focuses on advancing open and trustworthy AI for scientific research, with particular attention to research integrity and reproducibility, Open Science policy, legal and IPR frameworks including the AI Act and GDPR, data protection and privacy, ethics, and data-sharing regulations. Through an interactive process, the workshop will bring together researchers, practitioners and policy experts to assess key developments, identify emerging gaps and prioritise a set of recommendations that can directly inform the RAISE Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and future European priorities for AI in and for Science.

This workshop will be one of the side events of AIS26 and it will take place at October 16th from 13.00 to 16.00 CET.

Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation Strategy

The SCIANCE Communication, Dissemination, and Engagement framework defines an integrated approach to building visibility, fostering stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the uptake, exploitation, and long-term impact of project results within the emerging European AI in Science ecosystem.

The SCIANCE Communication, Dissemination, and Engagement framework defines an integrated approach to building visibility, fostering stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the uptake, exploitation, and long-term impact of project results within the emerging European AI in Science ecosystem. It combines coordinated communication, structured dissemination, and continuous engagement to support the co-creation, validation, and exploitation of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA).

The communication strategy establishes a coherent project identity and consistent messaging across channels, structured on a common branding framework, aligned with European Commission requirements, and the broader RAISE ecosystem. A central component is the RAISE Digital Hub, which integrates curated content and interactive engagement through a two-layer architecture, comprising a content platform and a community forum. This enables both structured publication of project outputs and continuous stakeholder interaction via Working Groups, consultations, and co-creation processes.

The dissemination and exploitation strategy is structured around community building and co-creation, visibility and awareness, and dissemination and uptake. These are implemented through an events programme including the AIS Summits, thematic workshops, consultation activities, and a final dissemination event, complemented by active participation in key European and international policy and research forums. External participation ensures alignment with EU initiatives and research infrastructures such as EOSC, EuroHPC JU, and ESFRI, while strengthening pathways for uptake and exploitation of SCIANCE outputs.

Overall, the framework provides a structured, adaptive, and evidence-based approach to communication, dissemination, exploitation, and engagement, ensuring that SCIANCE results are co-developed with stakeholders, widely adopted, and embedded within the wider European AI Science ecosystem.
