The Social Sciences and Humanities Working Group explores how AI can support research into human behaviour, culture, society and democratic processes while ensuring that technological innovation remains human-centred and ethically grounded.
The group brings together researchers from across the social sciences and humanities with AI experts to investigate computational methods, digital humanities, cultural heritage, social data analysis and responsible AI governance. It promotes interdisciplinary approaches that strengthen scientific understanding while addressing societal impacts of AI.

Investigating bias, fairness and responsible AI deployment.
Building bridges between computational and social research communities.
RAISE FORUM enables structured discussion, consultation, and feedback within the Working Group.
It supports the exchange of perspectives on priorities, challenges, and opportunities in AI for science.

Each Working Group brings together a selected group of experts contributing to the co-creation of the AI in Science Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). Members were appointed through an open call for expression of interest based on their expertise, experience, and ability to contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration across AI and scientific research domains.
