The Industry, Innovation and Frugal AI Working Group explores how advances in AI can be translated into practical scientific applications while promoting resource-efficient and sustainable innovation
The group brings together industry, research organisations, technology developers and scientific communities to discuss AI-enabled laboratory systems, cloud services, AI Factories, industrial partnerships and emerging technologies. Particular emphasis is placed on frugal AI approaches that reduce computational costs, improve energy efficiency and broaden access to AI across European research ecosystems.

RAISE FORUM enables structured discussion, consultation, and feedback within the Working Group.

This discussion space connects researchers, industry, infrastructure providers and innovators interested in translating AI advances into scientific impact. Topics include emerging technologies, sustainable AI, industrial collaboration and future innovation opportunities across the European research ecosystem.

Each Working Group brings together a selected group of experts contributing to the co-creation of the AI in Science Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). Members were appointed through an open call for expression of interest based on their expertise, experience, and ability to contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration across AI and scientific research domains.
