The Open Science and Trustworthy AI Working Group examines the policies, practices and technical approaches needed to ensure that AI strengthens openness, integrity and reproducibility in scientific research.
The group addresses transparency, explainability, ethics, legal frameworks, data protection, intellectual property and responsible innovation while promoting FAIR research practices. It aims to establish common principles that enable trustworthy AI adoption across scientific disciplines and European research infrastructures.

RAISE FORUM enables structured discussion, consultation, and feedback within the Working Group.

This forum brings together researchers, policymakers, infrastructure providers and Open Science advocates to discuss trustworthy AI, governance, policy developments and practical approaches for responsible AI adoption in scientific research.

Each Working Group brings together a selected group of experts contributing to the co-creation of the AI in Science Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). Members were appointed through an open call for expression of interest based on their expertise, experience, and ability to contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration across AI and scientific research domains.
